USE BAKING SPRAY: Spray the pan really well with baking spray before adding the batter. The type that has flour in the spray works well.

COAT WITH VEGETABLE SHORTENING: This works better than butter. You just need to coat the pan with a thin layer of vegetable shortening before adding the batter.

COAT WITH VEGETABLE SHORTENING AND FLOUR: If you're baking a super moist cake or a cake with fruit in it, coat with vegetable shortening, then also coat the pan with flour to keep the cake from sticking.
