These are just about the easiest cupcakes you could make for Halloween and I just love how it looks like the black cats are peaking out over the icing on the cupcake.

SUPPLIES FOR THE BLACK CAT CUPCAKES:
- Baked cupcakes
- Black buttercream (to see tips for making your buttercream black, go here.)
- Printable Halloween Black Cat Cupcake Toppers
- Scissors and Circle Punch
- Toothpicks
- Tape
- Piping Bag
- 1M or 2D Piping Tip
HOW TO MAKE THE HALLOWEEN BLACK CAT CUPCAKES:
The first thing you want to do is bake your cupcakes. Bake any flavor you want, but I chose chocolate for mine.
You’ll also want to make some black buttercream. In the supply list above, I’ve got a link on how to do that.
Pipe the icing onto your cooled cupcakes. You can use 1M or 2D piping tips. Those seem to look the best on cupcakes.
Next, print out the cupcake toppers and either punch them out with the circle punch or cut them out. Also cut the bottom flat right under the cat’s head. Do this so it looks like the cat is peaking out from the buttercream.

Once your toppers are cut out, tape a toothpick to the back and then just pop into the top of your cupcake.
That’s it! Super easy!
